Last fall when we were in Kenya I spent a day with the microfinance team in the Mathare Valley. They make loans, counsel small business owners, and meet with accountability groups. They are completely empowering families and individuals living in extreme poverty to break the cycle and live a better life. I'm pretty stoked to see the program now know as BigDent with this new web site that allows individuals, groups, and families to invest in microfinance businesses. Give it a look!
