It is Sunday morning here in Hong Kong. I arrived on schedule Saturday night after a Friday morning departure. You lose a day traveling outbound on this trip and the clock is 12 hours ahead of home.
I got a good night's sleep and then got up in time to exercise, do devotions, and take a short walk before my first meeting. Walking around it is interesting to observe the clash of culture in this city. It is not unusual to see a Starbucks next to a noddle shop that looks a hundred years old. A street level spice shop or butcher may be next to a designer boutique. It is hard to tell if they know each other exist.
This far from home some things seem just like home and some things really are a world away. It is easy to meet good people everywhere I travel, but it is nice to know that I have friends and family at home.
