This as been a busy month as we finalize our move. The truck comes next Tuesday to load our stuff and we will hit the road after closing on Thursday. Most of our evenings have been full getting together with friends to share a meal before we leave. Can anything be better than conversation with friends over good food? Last evening we were with Don and Robin Zook. Their family is in the process of scattering as the kids are grown and have started to find their own path. It was great to talk about experiences, travel, hopes, and dreams. If you have not noticed, I've posted a photo album called "Leaving PA". We've captured photos of a few of the many wonderful people who have been part of our life here.

The MACC Motley Crew
As I have mentioned before, Denine and I have been involved in a local church plant the last six months or so. I believe we have being doing it much like Jesus intended for his church. We are a motley little crew trying to do what is good and right. It is honest and real.
The pretense of "doing church" had been dropped and we have instead been "doing life" together. These are good people of great faith (but transparent enough to say something on those days when faith seems nowhere in sight). If you live locally you will do well to meet them. They have cared for us and loved us. We have been pastored well by leadership. If you can not tell, we love them deeply.

These days....
There is a lot of change going on these days. Denine and I continue to get ready for our move at the end of the month to Greenwood, SC. We've found a great place to rent the first year on Lake Greenwood. Earl & Teresa Brewington and the whole crew at ID Shop have done so much to help us with the process.
Our calendar has been full getting together with friends before we hit the road. We have been well loved here. Thank you. Thanks to our church family for the great care, prayers, and deep friendships. You all know who you are.
Last weekend Denine took Beth off to college in Atlanta and yesterday Jordan left to relocate near Los Angeles. We will miss them both deeply. It was a lot for one week. Godspeed kids. Your Mom & Dad still pray for you daily.
There are bittersweet days, but it is near time to go. We all look forward to what is next.

Rolling on a perfect day
The Wheelmen rolled from Oaks to Manyunk on a beautiful clear day Saturday. What a great time it was to hang with truly great guys. I'll miss our regular outings together after the move. We wore our new Missio Dei jerseys and got some nice comments from the other cyclists. We caught the sights and sounds in town with breakfast at a sidewalk cafe. Easy Go did a he-man and busted a spoke climbing the Manyunk Wall. He wobbled the entire trip back, but made it home. Good times...good memories...good friends.... Thanks boys!
