After we read about Hot Doug's - The Sausage Superstore and Encased Meat Emporium in an in-flight magazine we knew we had visit when we were in Chicago. Then we saw the place on The Travel Channel and we really knew we had to make a stop.
Our adventure included a taxi ride that got us there just before closing. If you are in line at closing time you are good. We met a cool local guy while waiting to place our order with Doug himself. Our order included The Dog, The Elvis, and Duck Fat Fries. It was worth the trip, my friend. It was worth the trip.

Denine and I cooked dinner for Beth's birthday. Afterward we took a few silly photos and danced really badly. Well, I danced badly.
It seems that it was not that long ago that I held Bethany in my arms shortly after she came into this world. She is still coming into this world...brighter and more beautiful than ever.

As I mentioned to the tribe that receives my Tuesday update e-mail, Lander University has launched a radio station with our own Paul Crutcher as the station manager and Morning Breakfast Club host. You can check it out and tune in on-line here. Interestingly enough, the Soggy Bloggin' Boys have done well in the trivia contests.
Speaking of Paul, the movie he made about Samuel Lander debuts tomorrow. I helped out a little with the exhibit in Monsanto Gallery on campus which was fun. Congrats, Paul! Break a leg or take a bow or whatever is said to movie producer/writer/directors.
