I love our lake life and I love the effort to simplify our living. But I will admit that I am fascinated with the life cycles in large cities. For instance, Washington, DC has plenty of problem areas, but in recent years a number of bad neighborhoods have been reclaimed with city residents who live, play, eat, and often work in the neighborhood. I witnessed this last night. It was cool and it was community. Yes, I like community. Always community in any shape or form. It is good stuff.
