Back when we still live in PA my friend Don got distracted while riding his bike and caught a wheel on the edge of a fairly busy concrete highway. It flipped him off the bike which resulted in a broken shoulder and a concussion. Don was found by a passing car laying unconscious out in the road. The next memory Don had was later after the passerby had stopped to aid him and called for help.
I have a few other friends that have been injured during athletic pursuits and were not in a good position to help themselves. My brother-in-law, Tom, slammed his bike into a vehicle that stopped suddenly. He hit his head on the back window of the SUV and was dazed. Had it been worse he would not have been able to communicate who he was or who to call for assistance.
Stories like these are familiar to most outdoor individual sports enthusiasts. Every time I head out the door to ride Denine asks if I have ID and my cell phone. I do not like to use my driver's license because I travel often and I worry that I will forget to put it back in my wallet.
We kicked this around at the office for a while because we have the technology in place to produce several solutions and we felt we could offer some nice options compared to what is on the market. Based on initial response, I think we are on the right track. And I think we will have some fun with this product line.
The new business unit is called ID4Sports.com. Since most of our work is business-to-business and this product is for individuals I thought you may be interested in hearing about it. And as always, do not forget your ID when you go out to ride, run, or play!

I was wondering if I would have anything "blog worthy" today until friend Steve Rajki in Chicagoland sent this link to bighotdog.com. Amazing! Genius. It's one of the best things I have ever seen. Check out the video in the middle at the bottom of their web site.
PS: Posted with my apologies to Dr. Matthew at Abbeville Family Healthcare!

Here is a little T-Bone Walker for you. It's perfect for a rainy Monday in The South. "Hey baby, I like what you've been puttin' down". Nice. I trust you week will be this smooth. Enjoy.

The other night I watched Shaun White win the snowboarding halfpipe contest wearing a plaid jacket and snowboard pants made to look like torn jeans. Several days before I caught some of the moguls where the skiers tear down the humps and jumps to their favorite music. I think it is easy to say we have grown to like our sports a little turbocharged.
So I have a suggestion for the IOC. Add sumo wrestling to the curling competition. That's right. Sumo Curling.
You are welcome.
